Afternoon: sunset in Montepagano

Continue to Montepagano, the ancient village overlooking Roseto degli Abruzzi. Stroll through the lanes of this authentic terrace over the Adriatic Sea, surrounded by historic vineyards and perfect for an unforgettable view at sunset.

Morning: the art of ceramics in Castelli

Reach the village of Castelli, perched on the Gran Sasso and famous worldwide for its majolica. Visit the artisan workshops and the Chiesa di San Donato, known as the “Sistine Chapel of majolica” for its spectacular ceiling, entirely hand-decorated in the 17th century.

Afternoon: the vastness of Campo Imperatore

Climb through the Vado di Sole pass to Campo Imperatore (2138 m), the boundless plateau dominated by Corno Grande. An unmissable stop is Fonte Vetica, where you can enjoy authentic arrosticini cooked outdoors. Then continue to the observatory square for an unforgettable high-altitude walk.

Afternoon: a slow return via Castelbasso

On the way back to the Country House, stop in the fortified medieval village of Castelbasso. This stone treasure enclosed within its original walls often hosts open-air contemporary art exhibitions and prestigious cultural events during the summer months.
